http://bss.sfsu.edu/internment/rightsviolated.html this website names the rights that were violated during wwII. any suggestions how i could use this in my presentation?
Japanese Americans are still Americans, and thus are still entitled to those rights. Violation of these rights is wrong and adds support to the idea that if you feel that Japanese were unjustly treated. If you feel the other way though... I got nothing.
So about 2/3 of the Japanese Americans who were sent to "relocation" camps were US citizens and their Constitutional rights were taken away in doing so. Actually, I didn't even notice that the site tells you exactly how the rights were violated. This is a great resource! Most of the imprisoned Japanese had to succumb to unreasonable conditions in these camps. I agree with Justin, this would be strong support if you are on the side that the treatment of the Japanese was unjust.
